Gulzar Group of Institutes organised Entrepreneurship Awareness workshop GGI organised an employability and entrepreneurship development workshop Entrepreneurship Awareness Talk organised for the students of Gulzar Group of Institutes. The Guest speaker at the moment was Ashpreet Sahni, Director, Sehaj Solutions Engineering and Harish Kairpal M.D. V.H. Hosiery. Teachers and students from various departments including Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Journalism and Hotel Management participated in the workshop. The main objective of the workshop was to acquaint students with the life journey of leading entrepreneurs in India, Leadership qualities, skill sets required to succeed and to promote entrepreneurial skills among the students. Ashpreet Sahni, Director of Sehaj Solutions engineering explained to the students how to start a new business. Commencing with need assessment, preliminary research, and business plan, identifying the recourses, legal framework, financing, marketing and setting future goals. After that leadership skills, group activities, team building activities and conflict resolution, mistakes that young and new entrepreneurs often make in the action plans, presentation of Action plans and evaluation were also discussed. Sahni also gave an overview of his company’s regime in manufacturing & exports Tractor & Trailer Parts along with Agriculture Machinery components to overseas markets like the USA, UK, Germany and Italy. Harish Kairpal M.D. V.H. Hosiery, a Finance Secretary of “Knitwear Club- and a member of MSME – Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, guided students regarding the Fashion orientation of the industry. He gave insight on market and customer segmentation with reference to the fashion industry and the latest trends prevailing in the market. Gurkirat Singh Executive Director, GGI focussed on how to start a new business. Commencing with need assessment, preliminary research, and business plan, identifying the resources, legal framework, financing, marketing and setting future goals etc. He also discussed challenges like mistakes that young and new entrepreneurs often make in the Action plans, presentations of the Action plans and evaluation. He later urged the candidates to compete and use their skills properly to grab the opportunities.
